The WineBoxAid tap holder is a clever little support that stabilises the tap on a bag-in-box. The tap holder makes it easier to get a good grip on the tap, making it easier to lift from the bag-in-box and reducing the risk of spillage.

The sturdy tap holder is inserted between the tap and the carton. The sturdy plastic disc holds the tap outside the box so that it sits firmly and does not disappear back into the can. This makes it easier to grip the tap, while giving you more room for the glass. Plus, it doesn't matter if the carton breaks a little when you open the bag-in-box.

The WineBoxAid tap holder can be used for wine barrels, juice boxes and all other beverages sold in bag-in-box packaging. It is designed to sit tightly against the tap, so it may be a little slow to slide into place at first.

Made from recycled marine plastic

The Swedish-made crane holder is 100% made of plastic collected from the sea. The green colour comes from the high proportion of collected fishing nets (ghost nets) that have been recycled and used in the manufacture of the plastic. The whole package is recyclable.

About the innovators

After spending their entire working lives in the US, Monika and Hunter moved back to Sweden in 2018. One of the things they quickly discovered was how big the bag-in-box market is in Sweden. They also realized how inefficient the opening on many boxes is and the need for a stabilizer for the tap was great.

The first prototype of WineBoxAid was created from an old cutting board and became a hit with family and friends. Monika and Hunter decided to make the product available to a wider audience and at the same time decided to learn more about different plastics.

The decision to make WineBoxAid from marine plastic was not difficult. It was a little more expensive than regular plastic, but is an important part of encouraging the cleaning of our oceans of debris, which also helps marine life to survive.

The WineBoxAid crane holder is made in Grisslehamn, which is in line with Hunter and Monika's philosophy of local production and the importance of supporting local businesses.
