Sustainable material with a long history

The tray is made from Paulownia wood, sometimes known as the empress tree. It is a deciduous tree from Asia that is now also grown in Europe, including in Portugal. Paulownia is an extremely fast-growing wood that can reach 20 metres in height in just five years, making it an environmentally friendly choice. The tree was named after the Russian queen Anna Pavlovna.
