Våges - Craftsmanship and design since 1875
Gustav's eldest son, John Gustavsson, was also an inventor who, among other things, designed an agricultural machine, the Kulla roller. John patented his design in 1960 and the Kulla roller became a well known and widely used tool.
Våge Gustavsson (son of John Gustavsson) started the company Våges Smith in 1997. Våge had a creative and modern mindset which, combined with his sense of form, resulted in a new design thinking with a focus on function and Småland ingenuity. Våge Gustavsson passed away in 2006 but left behind a huge amount of knowledge and ideas.
Nowadays, it is the siblings, the 5th generation of crafts-people and designers who design and produce the beautiful and cleverly designed candlesticks by hand. Emelie, Lenny, Joel and Mikaela Nilsson's goal is to pass on the legacy and knowledge of the previous generations' ideas in the form of clever and smart products with a strong Småland identity.
