Extend the shelf life of your opened wine bottle with a practical wine cork with an inbuilt vacuum pump. By sealing the bottle and pumping out all the oxygen, the wine preserves its good taste and aroma for a longer period, while the vacuum prevents the wine from oxidation.
Aerating the wine before drinking enhances the flavour and aroma, whilst also making the unpleasant smells and undesirable tastes disappear. If the wine is exposed to oxygen for a lengthy period, it will begin to oxidize, which results in the wine tasting bad over time.
When using the vacuum pump to draw out the oxygen from the bottle, the wine gets preserved in the initial stage much longer and will taste just as good the next time you open the bottle.
Place the vacuum pump in the neck of the bottle and start to pump. Depending on how much wine there's left in the bottle, you will have to pump a different number of times. After about 10?15 pumps, or when it gets hard to pump, you know there's barely any oxygen left.
The cork fits wine bottles with screw caps and normal corks, and sit tight in the bottle, thanks to the pressure created in the bottle. The bottle should be stored upright when the cork is in.
