Paulownia wood – a sustainable choice

Paulownia, sometimes called the empress tree, is a deciduous tree from Asia that is now also grown in Europe. It is extremely fast-growing and can reach 20 metres in just five years, making it an environmentally friendly option. The wood is also unusually light, so the box weighs almost nothing despite its solid construction.
