Fireproof construction
The battery box is made of a flameproof plastic and serves as a protected place for batteries that are no longer in use. It is equipped with a tight lid and tape dispenser (tape included), which you use to tape both the positive and negative terminals of each battery before placing them in the container.
Prevents short circuits
When batteries are placed together, for example in a plastic bag, without protection, it is easy for the poles to come into contact with each other, which can cause a short circuit and is a fire hazard. By taping the two terminals together and placing them in the fireproof battery box, you can ensure that they are stored responsibly and safely while awaiting recycling.
Fits common household batteries
The battery box is designed for the most common types of household batteries: cylindrical batteries (e.g. AA, AAA), button cell batteries and 9-volt block batteries. It is not intended for special batteries such as powerbanks, which often require special handling.
Proceed as follows
1. Pull the protective paper so that the adhesive strip comes out.
2. Tape over both the positive and negative terminals.
3. Place the batteries in the battery box.
4. Empty the battery box at the nearest recycling centre when it is 3/4 full.
