These oil candles are smart, environmentally friendly and cost-effective lights that burn with just ordinary cooking oil. Made from 100% biodegradable material, these sustainable candles also emit minimal carbon-dioxide, creating a pleasant and inviting glow.
The candle burns with vegetable cooking oil that you pour directly onto the candle. Rapeseed oil is the clearest oil you can use, but both olive oil and sunflower oil will also work perfectly well. One tablespoon of oil will provide about 7 hours of burning time.
Occasionally the light may go out prematurely if the wick gets covered, but simply grab the strand and pull it upwards a few millimetres so it has more space. Cut off the charred end of the wick and relight. The wick has approximately 300 hours of burn time and replacement wicks can be purchased separately.
These oil candles come in two elegant models: as Block Candles or as Spirals.
