- Grow potatoes on the balcony, terrace or patio
- Harvest without pulling up the plant
- See the development of the potatoes
The potato pot makes it easy to grow your own potatoes on the terrace, balcony or patio and follow the development from planting to harvest. The potato pot has an inner and outer pot that allows you to monitor the potato's growth, so you can harvest fresh potatoes all season without having to dig up the plant.
Smart construction for easy harvesting
The potato pot consists of an outer pot and a removable inner pot. The inner pot is placed in the outer pot before planting and is then filled with soil and up to three seed potatoes. When the potatoes start to grow, you can easily lift the inner pot to check the development underground and harvest ripe potatoes as needed.Practical cultivation in a small space
The potato pot is perfect for those who want to grow potatoes at home but do not have access to a garden plot. It can be placed outdoors in a warm and sunny spot, such as on the balcony, terrace, or patio. How to do it
1. Pre-sprout potatoes indoors, preferably in an egg carton on a sunny windowsill until they have nice sprouts.2. Assemble the pots and fill with soil up to the middle of the pot's height. Place up to 3 potatoes about 10 cm apart. Then fill in with more soil and water thoroughly.
3. When the shoots stick up about 10 cm above the surface, you need to fill in with soil. Push the soil around the potatoes so that the roots have plenty of soil to spread in and to prevent the potatoes from turning green. Repeat the same procedure 2-3 times during the season as the shoots grow.
4. After about 8-12 weeks (depending on the potato variety), the first potatoes are ready to be harvested. Lift up the inner pot and carefully harvest the ready potatoes directly from the pot. Put the inner pot back and let new potatoes grow!
