Make your own soft ice cream
Making your own soft ice cream at home is both easy and fun. You choose the flavour, ingredients and consistency yourself, making it easy to customise the ice cream to your own preferences. With the Emerio soft ice cream maker, the process is smooth - the machine holds up to 1 litre of ice cream mix and provides several portions of finished ice cream. Preparation takes around 30 minutes depending on the recipe and ingredients.Proceed as follows
Click the outer bowl into the ice cream maker, then place the removable bowl inside (note that the inner bowl must be frozen for at least 8 hours before use - feel free to store it in the freezer so it's always ready when you want to make ice cream). Fit the whisk into the bowl and then put the lid with the motor in place. Once the machine is running, pour the ice cream mixture through the lid (double check that the spout is closed to avoid the mixture spilling out). Let the machine run until the desired consistency is reached - this usually takes about 15-20 minutes, but the time can vary depending on the recipe and temperature.It's important that the whole mixture is poured in straight away, otherwise it risks freezing on contact with the bowl, which can stop the whisk. Also remember to stop pouring at least 4cm from the top, as the ice cream will increase in volume during freezing.
Tips for best results
For optimal ice cream consistency, always chill the ingredients before use and avoid running the machine for too long - the ice cream may become too hard. Only use gelatine powder or instant gelatine mix if the recipe calls for it.Cleaning and care
