Hippychick Hipseat is a practical and easy-to-use carrier strap that provides relief for the back when carrying a child on the hip. The comfortable seat fits children between 6-36 months and provides good support for their increasingly heavy weight from underneath.
The sturdy strap is attached around the hips, using both a wide velcro strap and an additional safety buckle, ensuring the hipseat is securely fastened. The child sits securely near the body on the protruding seat and you choose which side you want to carry the child on. The seat is comfortably padded with a non-slip surface, allowing the child to sit securely.
As the entire hip helps carry the weight, the hip seat relieves both shoulders and back and you get a straight posture. The hipseat is recommended by many osteopaths, chiropractors and physiotherapists because it helps keep the spine straight and thus prevents back and shoulder pain.
The hipseat fits waists between 66 cm and 106 cm. The seat can hold children between 6-36 months or up to 20 kilos. Always keep an arm around the baby when carrying them on the hipseat.
It is a good idea to inhale and hold in your tummy when tightening the padded belt. Then turn the seat around your hip and position the seat on your desired side.
The hip seat is made of durable polyester and polyurethane and is machine washable in 30 °C degrees. The hipseat is manufactured in England and meets European Safety Standard EN13209-2: 2005. Consult with your doctor if you wish to use the hip seat when you are pregnant.
