There are about 25,000 different bee species in the world, and roughly one in three species is threatened. Many solitary bees today struggle to find natural nesting places. As old trees, dead wood, and natural habitats disappear, their chances of survival also diminish. Solitary bees do not produce honey, but they play a crucial role in nature as pollinators. They ensure that fruit trees, berry bushes, and flowers set fruit and seed.
