These egg poaching bags make it easy to poach eggs without needing any vinegar, whirlpools or previous knowledge. These bags ensure you get perfect eggs in a matter of minutes.
The egg-shaped poachies are made of fine-grain, food-grade paper. The bag prevents the egg white from floating off, and keeps it wrapped around the yolk inside the bag, creating a perfect poached egg. There is no need to create whirlpools in the water or to add vinegar; all you need is a large pot filled with hot water.
Take a large pot and fill it up to three-quarters full of water. Bring the water to a boil and then lower the heat so that the water stops bubbling. Crack the egg into the poaching bag (it is best to pop the poaching bag in a glass to keep it stable while doing this) and then carefully lower the bag with the egg into the pot. Wait 4-6 minutes until the egg white is solid and you've got a perfectly poached egg!
Use tongs or a skimmer spoon to retrieve the bag and place it on a piece of kitchen roll to let the water drain off. Grab the seam at the bottom of the bag, angle it carefully and your perfectly poached egg will slide right out of the paper.
