The chafe protection is easy to roll onto a rope and gives a long-term protection that extends the lifespan of your tail rope. Easy to attach to both stationary tail ropes by the jetty, where the tail rope needs to withstand long wear and tear, and on the tail ropes in your boat.

It minimizes wear on the rope and protects against sharp cliffs, rough concrete bollards, and rusty metal rings. The chafe protection also reduces the noise that the tail rope makes against the cleat on the boat.

The chafe protection is easy to attach, remove, or place on another rope. It automatically adapts itself after the thickness of the rope and gives multiple layers of protection. The highly durable PU-material is also UV-resistant and ensures that the chafe protection can withstand strong sunlight.

Rolled onto the rope
To attach the chafe protection to a tail rope, simply roll it on. If you need help you can always look at the instructional video down below. Make sure that the logotype is facing outwards and that the chafe protection is put on straight and does not twist itself.

Once the chafe protection is in place, it will remain there and not slip off.

Note! Do not sever the chafe protection.

To ensure that the chafe protection is kept in place from the friction, use the whole length.

The chafe protection is available in two different sizes. Choose the size after the proportions of your tail rope.

For 8-16 mm tail rope and line
Length: 39 cm

For 16-25 mm tail rope and line
Length: 59,5 cm

Material

The chafe protection is made of durable, UV-resistant polyurethane that does not leave any marks. Check the chafe protection occasionally for wear and tear or damages. The chafe protection should be replaced if it is damaged.
