U-Cleat is a Swedish-designed, innovative, removable mooring compensator that reduces the strain on your lines, bollards and cleats.
The locking mechanism ensures that the compensator is easily fitted to a line or transferred from one line to another. It can therefore be fitted to lines with thick spliced ends, lines with eye splices or thimbles, and the mooring lines at the guest harbour.
The unique locking mechanism consists of two inserts on either end of the compensator. Remove the insert, place the line inside it and wrap it around the compensator. Then lock it by putting the inserts back in place. The compensator can easily be repositioned or moved to another line. It is also easy to remove the compensator once it is time to wash the lines.
The mooring compensator is made of EPDM rubber and is very resistant to salt water and UV radiation. The insets are made of glass fibre reinforced polypropylene.
The mooring compensator comes in three sizes. Choose the right size based on the thickness of your mooring lines:
Line thickness: 10–12 mm – Length of mooring compensator: 33 cm.
Line thickness: 12–16 mm – Length of mooring compensator: 41 cm.
Line thickness: 16–20 mm – Length of mooring compensator: 52 cm.
