Replacement filter for the Grayl water purification bottle to continue purifying water safely and effectively during outdoor adventures, travelling or emergencies. The filter provides comprehensive protection against harmful microorganisms and chemicals, while improving the taste, odour and appearance of water.
Protects against harmful microorganisms
The filter purifies water from a wide range of disease-causing microorganisms, including viruses (e.g. Rotavirus, Hepatitis A and Norovirus), bacteria (e.g. E. coli, Salmonella and Cholera) and parasites (e.g. Giardia and Cryptosporidium). It allows you to safely drink water even from unsafe sources. The filter also effectively removes physical contaminants such as silt and microplastics and absorbs chemicals such as PFAS and heavy metals.Filter change indicator
The filter cartridge lasts for approximately 300 pressings, equivalent to 150 litres of water. As the filter nears the end of its life, it becomes heavier to press the water through - when the pressing takes 25-30 seconds, it is time to change (or when 3 years have passed since first use). However, the filter will continue to purify the water during this time. The lifetime of the filter may be reduced if you frequently purify water with a lot of sediment, silt or tannins, which is common in some surface waters.
