With just a few drops, bacteria, viruses, and fungi in water from sources like streams, lakes, or taps in areas where water quality is uncertain are inactivated. The active ingredient in the product is chlorine dioxide (ClO₂), an effective disinfecting component used to inactivate microorganisms in water. Unlike traditional chlorination, chlorine dioxide acts quickly and without forming the same types of taste-altering byproducts. The Xinix water purifier is approved as a drinking water additive by the Food Authority, which means it meets current requirements for safe use in drinking water. The treatment is completely chlorine-free, allowing the water to retain its natural taste and smell.Easy dosing
Xinix water purifier is dosed at 1 drop per 1 deciliter of water. After dosing, wait 1 minute before drinking. If the water contains visible particles, such as dirt, sand, or leaves, this should first be filtered out with, for example, a piece of cloth. Thereafter, double the number of drops and double the waiting time is recommended.A 50 ml bottle is sufficient for approximately 50 liters of water, while the 150 ml pack is enough for about 150 liters.
Multiple uses
The Xinix water purifier can also be used to sanitize mugs, bottles, and other containers. It helps reduce the risk of unwanted biofilm on the inside - a thin coating where microorganisms can gather and grow. An unopened bottle has a shelf life of at least 2 years. The product should be stored in a dark place and protected from direct sunlight. For best shelf life, cool storage is recommended, preferably in the refrigerator at 2 to 8 °C.
