Illumine is a Swedish-developed waterproof backpack with built-in LED lights that make you visible to traffic. The lights are on flexible LED strips and light up in red on the back and in orange and blue on the front of the shoulder straps.
The built-in LED lights are strong and make you visible from up to 1 km away. But it's above all at short distances (20-100m) that the lights really make a difference. The strong lights draw the attention of your fellow road users and significantly increase your visibility in a high-traffic environment.
You turn the lights on and off by holding down the small disc above the ON button on the left shoulder strap. When the backpack is switched on, you can tuck the disc into the small pocket on the left guard on the shoulder strap. The guards on the shoulder straps prevent you from being blinded by the lights. NOTE! You will need a Powerbank of your choice to give the lights power (not included).
Spacious backpack with detachable inner pocket and laptop case
The waterproof backpack has a large spacious inner compartment with a volume of 30 liters and another outer compartment on the back. You also get both a laptop case that fits up to 15" large computers and an inner pocket that you can put small items in.
Both the laptop case and the inner pocket are made of the same waterproof material and can easily be removed and fastened inside the backpack with velcro.
Waterproof material
The durable backpack is made of a waterproof material that keeps your things dry even in heavy rain. The zippers are waterproof and prevent water from penetrating into the various compartments of the backpack.
The lights can be powered by any Powerbank (purchased separately)
In order to power the lights, you will need to connect the Powerbank of your choice (not included) to the backpack's integrated USB cable. You can then store the Powerbank in the small pocket at the top of the backpack.
We recommend using a 5V Powerbank with 2.1A output. For example, an 8000mAh Powerbank provides approximately 7 hours of operating time.
Comfortable to wear
The backpack can be easily adjusted for maximum comfort. You can stabilise the rucksack compartment using the four straps on the back. On the front you can adjust the shoulder straps and fasten a strap over the chest and a strap over the stomach to ensure that the backpack fits perfectly.
Optimize the rucksack compartment
With the small air valve on the side of the backpack, you can let excess air out of the backpack. Open the valve and squeeze the air out of the backpack. Close the valve and the backpack stays compact.
