Housegard's carbon monoxide detector provides early warning of dangerously high levels of carbon monoxide and is an important safeguard in homes, holiday homes, mobile homes and other areas with fuel-powered heat sources and appliances. Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colourless, odourless and tasteless gas that is highly dangerous and impossible to detect without the right equipment. With its combination of smart features, clear LCD display and easy installation, the carbon monoxide detector contributes to a safer indoor environment for you and your family.
Detect carbon monoxide in time
Carbon monoxide is formed during incomplete combustion and can come from gas stoves, oil boilers, barbecues or blocked chimneys. The gas can also penetrate through walls, which means that the risk zone is often larger than you think. This alarm quickly detects elevated CO levels and alerts you with a loud 85 dB alarm signal - powerful enough to be heard even if you are asleep or in another room.LCD display and memory function
The carbon monoxide alarm is equipped with an LCD display that shows the current carbon monoxide level and alarm status in real time. The memory function stores the last 48 hours of alarm events, making it easy to check for dangerous levels when away from home.Battery powered with test and pause function
The unit is powered by two AA batteries, with a battery life of three years. A clear indicator warns you in good time when it's time to change the batteries, so the alarm is never without power. The in-built test button allows you to easily check that the alarm is working properly. A pause function also allows you to temporarily switch off the alarm for 10 minutes, without shutting down the carbon monoxide detector completely.Approved for fixed and mobile homes
The carbon monoxide detector complies with European standards EN 50291-1:2018 and EN 50291-2:2019. This means it is approved for use in both fixed dwellings and mobile environments such as motorhomes, caravans and boats. The alarm is also built to operate over a wide temperature range, from -10°C to +40°C. This makes it suitable for environments where temperatures can vary, such as holiday homes or vehicles.Easy installation
The carbon monoxide detector is easy to install using the supplied 3M tape, making installation both quick and tool-free. It should be placed between 1 and 3 metres from any fuel-burning appliance, and in high-traffic areas such as bedrooms and living rooms. The unit can also be screwed in place using the supplied screw and plug. To mount the device, first attach the mounting plate with either the adhesive tape or screw. Then slide the device onto the mounting plate from the top down.Specifications:
