With the self-watering flower pot from German brand Lechuza, you can introduce the next generation of gardeners to the plant world in a playful and fun way. The face-shaped pot makes it easy for both children and adults to take care of their plants as the flower pot has both a built-in water tank and large eyes that act as a water level indicator.
Self-watering system and built-in water tank
The pot has a smart self-watering system that consists of a water tank in the base and an irrigation cord that is attached to a small stick. Insert the stick into one of the holes under the cultivation pot so that the irrigation cord is pushed into the soil.
When you then place the plant in the inner pot, the irrigation cord hangs down in the water tank. This allows the plant to absorb water and drink as much as it needs.
The eyes indicate when you need to add water
Fill the water tank by pouring water into the hole on the top of the pot. The eyes of the face open when you fill the water tank and when the eyes are blue, the water reservoir is filled. As the flower absorbs water through the irrigation cord, the eyes will slowly shut and it will be easy to see when you need to pour more water into the pot.
Collaboration between Lechuza and Playmobil
The self-watering pot was developed as part of a collaboration between the German companies Lechuza and Playmobil. The pot combines the iconic head of a classic Playmobil figure and Lechuza's award-winning self-watering system for pots. The self-watering pot is made in Germany and is available with different hair colours.

Suitable for flowers with a growing pot
The self-watering pot fits flowers in cultivation pots that are about 10.5 cm high and have a maximum diameter of 10 cm at the bottom and 12 cm at the top. If the flower does not have a cultivation pot, you will need to replant it to a suitable cultivation pot before you place it in the self-watering pot.
